Who we are

Founded in 1916, The Descendant of the Holy Ghost Church is the second largest Romanian Orthodox parish in the state of Michigan. For 34 years, until 1950, the church has been at the same location in Detroit, on Franklin Street.

Our church facilitates a variety of events, to keep our connection tight and our cultural inheritance alive.

Since 1993, our facility has provided our guests with two hospitable and recently refurbished halls, with both lobby and bar for a variety of small or large parties.
